MISHAWAKA - Donald G. Orban Sr., 73, passed away at 5:40
p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical
Center, Mishawaka. Don was born on April 23, 1935, in South Bend,
to Alex and Barbara (Axnix) Orban. He retired from
Uniroyal and was a member of the Marine Corps League and the
D.A.V. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Marie Orban;
four sisters, Betty Platz, Rose Elli, Irene Ewing
and Dorothy Verduin; and three brothers Alex Orban Jr.,
Elmer Orban and Eugene Orban. Surviving are two daughters,
Melinda (Alfie) Land of South Bend and Donna Orban of Mishawaka;
three sons, Donald (Pam) Orban Jr. and Dennis Orban, both of
South Bend, and Troy (Michele) Orban Sr. of Mishawaka; 11
grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Austin, Kendra, Amber, Carnella, Troy
Jr., Jessica, Donovan, Jared and Katlyn; two great-grandchildren,
Jerome and Maryah; and a sister, Frances Axnix of Moline,
IL.
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may call two hours prior to services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
