Oct. 25, 1911 - Aug. 27, 1996

LAPORTE - Stanley Orcutt, 84, of 317 Bordeaux Dr., LaPorte, Ind., passed away at 7 a.m., Tuesday, in the LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte.

He was born Oct. 25, 1911 in Lorane, Ind, and lived in LaPorte for 23 years, coming from Walkerton, Ind.

On April 12, 1935, in Columbia City, Ind., he married Elizabeth Egolf, who preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 1971.

On Aug. 10, 1978, in LaPorte, he married Pauline Woods. She survives along with two sons, Richard Orcutt of Lake St. Louis, Mo. and Roger Orcutt of Walkerton; two stepdaughters, Paula Getz of Kingsbury, Ind. and Barbara Keene of LaPorte; a stepson, Ray Woods, also of LaPorte; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Clark of Indianapolis, Ind. and Marjorie Davidsen of Cromwell, Ind.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Phillip Orcutt on May 2, 1966, along with his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Orcutt was a member of the First United Methodist Church of LaPorte, Moose Lodge of Michigan City, Ind., Masonic Lodge 619 of Walkerton, and Orak Shrine Temple of Michigan City.

He was retired, and was the former owner of the Kingsbury Locker Plant, of Kingsbury, Ind., for 25 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, in the First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Ave., LaPorte, with the Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., today, at the Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, and from 11 a.m., Friday, until the time of the service in the church. A masonic service will be held at 7 p.m., today, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
