Theresa S. (Drazsnyak) Osborn, 90, formerly of West Napier Street, South Bend, Ind., died after an illness at 7:30 a.m. on Thurs-day, Feb. 26, in St. Paul's Health Care Center. She was born to Joseph and Sophie (Kovatch) Drazsnyak on Dec. 29, 1907, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 25-year employee of Uniroyal in Mishawaka, Ind.

 

On Oct. 26, 1935, in South Bend, as Theresa S. Drazsnyak, she married Robert E. Osborn, who preceded her in death on July 25, 1973. Mrs. Osborn was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Muanaw, formerly of South Bend; and by two brothers, Joseph Drazsnyak, formerly of Hot Springs, Ark., and William Darr, formerly of New Orleans, La. She is survived by two daughters, Theresa (Louis) Nyers and Sophie Osborn, both of South Bend; and by two grandchildren, Christopher Nyers of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Elizabeth Nyers of South Bend.

 

She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Rosary Society of the church, was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the St. Theresa Society.

 

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1827 E. Ireland Road, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in St. Stephen Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Lemos, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame. Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1102 W. Thomas Street, South Bend, IN 46601. Mrs. Osborn was a firm devotee of St. Anthony and attended devotions for over 50 years. She loved people, particularly the religious, and touched many lives.
