Sister Mary Cataldus CSC, 88, of St. Mary’s Convent died Sunday afternoon in the convent. She was born Feb. 24, 1884 in Limerick, Ireland and as Mary O’Shaughnessy, entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross st St. Mary’s on Jan. 23, 1908 coming from Lierick. She made her profession of vows on Aug. 15, 1911. She was a registered nurse and served in hospitals in Indiana, Illinois, Idaho, New Mexico and Utah. She retired from active duty in 1967 and resided in California until 1971 when she came to St. Mary’s Convent.

Friends may call today and Tuesday in the convent parlors where rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
