Jeanette K. Otolski

Jeanette K. Otolski, 88, of the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, in the nursing facility. She was born on Aug. 20, 1910, in Poland, and had lived in this area since 1913. Mrs. Otolski retired in 1960 from the University of Notre Dame, and was an employee of the former Studebaker Corporation and Bendix Corporation.

 

On Sept. 25, 1928, in South Bend, as Jeanette Kalinowski, she married Harry Otolski, who preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1981. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Hostetter, who died on Jan. 4, 1990; and by a son, Harry J. Otolski, who died on Aug. 19, 1973. She is survived by a niece, Shirley Ann Raquet of Pennsylvania; and by a nephew, Michael Otolski of South Bend.

 

Mrs. Otolski was a member of the Rosary Society, Polish Women's Alliance #335 and Harvest House, all of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, the Polish Women's Democratic Club and the Hoosier Grandmothers Club. She was also a volunteer for Real Services.

 

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
