Jay W. Owens

March 21, 1933 – November 7, 1983

Jay W. Owens, 50, of 221 N. O’Brien St., died at 5:30pm Monday in St Joseph’s Medical Center.  He was ill since March.  He was a former drill press operator at White Farm Equipment Co.

Born on March 21, 1931, in South Bend, he was a lifetime area resident.  Owens is survived y a son, Terry Wardlow of Houston TX; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Betty Hansborough of Elkhart; his mother, Mrs. Lola Settles of Indianapolis; and his father and  step-mother, Mr & Mrs. Milton (Christine) Paige of South Bend.

He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War.  Arrangements are being made by Clark’s Funeral Chapel.
