SOUTH BEND - Mabel E. Paden, 90, of 2710 Ewing Avenue, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Regency Place Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 23, 1897 in South Bend.

On Oct. 26, 1921, in South Bend, as Mabel Scheibelhut, she married Paul V. Paden Sr. He died Feb. 4, 1973. Surviving are, a daughter, Mary Jane Rossiter of Glen Mills, Pa.; a son Paul Jr. of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Hickey Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. She was a member of the church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
