SOUTH BEND - Louis Paidle, 87, of Generations Drive, died at 2:20 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Paidle retired from South Bend Water Works Department. He was born Nov. 30, 1906, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 5, 1930, in South Bend, he married Ethel Madaras. She died Aug. 26, 1989. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Moose Lodge 58 and St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Zahoran Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.
