John J. Pajakowski

SOUTH BEND - John J. Pajakowski, 81, of Dundee Street, died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Pajakowski retired in 1979 from RACO Inc. and was a former Studebaker Corp. employee. He was born Aug. 1, 1914, in South Bend. On June 14, 1941, in South Bend, he married Irene N. Wawrzyniak. She survives with two daughters, Sister Mary Ann Pajakowski, CSC, of Midvale, Utah, and Margaret Pajakowski of Chicago; a son, William of South Bend; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; three sisters, Eugena Nowicki, Evelyn Derda and Gertrude Botka, all of South Bend; and a brother, Joseph of South Bend. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church and St. Joseph Young Mens Society.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where the Holy Name Society will join the parish rosary at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church Restoration Fund.
