Grace E. Palmer

August 18, 1892 – September 2, 1986

Graveside services will be at 10am Tuesday in City Cemetery for Grace E. Palmer, 94, of Tucson AZ, formerly of Mishawaka, who died September 2, in Kino Hospital, Tucson, after an illness.

She was born in Paulding Co OH on August 18, 1892 and had lived in this area for 55 years before moving to Arizona eight years ago.

She had retired from the Uniroyal Inc plant in 1956 after 30 years of service.  As Grace E. Freeman, she married Harry J. Palmer in Mishawaka on July 4, 1913.  He died in 1934.  Surviving are a daughter, Thala J. Ellis of Tucson; three sons, Richard and Loren, both of Mishawaka, and Harris M. of El Paso TX; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
