SOUTH BEND - Charles Palsce, 67, of Portage Avenue, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fort Wayne, after an illness. Mr. Palsce was a drill press operator.

He was born Oct. 6, 1926, in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by a sister, Violet Markanich of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of World War II.

Private graveside services will be Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery. Mishawaka. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 2126 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Ind. 46805.
