SOUTH BEND - Loretta C. Paprocki, 80, passed away on
Tuesday, September 23, at 9:25 a.m. in Memorial Hospital. Loretta
was born on June 9, 1928, in South Bend, to the late Sigmund A.
and Bernice (Ewald) Podemski. On June 21, 1947, she
married Louis T. Paprocki Jr. in South Bend. He preceded her in
death on April 8, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her
brother, Leon S. Podemski. She is survived by her five daughters,
Patt (Jim) Swisher of Mishawaka, Mary Jo Place of
South Bend, Carol (Max) Carteaux of South Bend, Barbara
"Bobbi" Paprocki of Mishawaka and Kathie (Brian) Krieg
of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Thomas (Melissa) Carteaux,
Kristie (Dan) Banicki, Mike Carteaux, Lisa VanBruaene,
Todd Topolski, Matt Topolski, Robert Krieg and Zachary
Krieg; and seven great-grandchildren, Courtney Taylor, Paul Comstock,
Nate VanBruaene, Danielle Banicki, Wyatt Carteaux, Brice
VanBruaene and Morgan Carteaux. Loretta was a member of Holy
Family Catholic Church, and had retired from Qualax after 20
years.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 26, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
