Shirley K. Parker

March 2, 1937 - Feb. 11, 1997

Shirley K. Parker, 59, of 645 Windy Cove Court, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 1:33 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Mishawaka. Her death followed a sudden illness.

She was born March 2, 1937, in Elkhart, Ind. She married Edward F. Parker on Aug. 17, 1985, in South Bend, Ind. He survives.

She is also survived by two sons, David Bell of Bay City, Mich., and James Bell of Mishawaka; two daughters, Mrs. Brendan (Stephaney) LaRue and Mrs. Wayne (Stacey) McFarland, both of Bay City; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Richard D. Weaver and James D. Weaver, both of Union, Mich.; three sisters, Gloria Gerring and Mrs. John (Donna) Van Horn, both of Elkhart, and Mrs. Robert (Vicky) Davis of Edwardsburg, Mich.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Bell, and by two sisters, Delores Fulton and Betty Branum.

Mrs. Parker was the owner of ''Plate Talk,'' located at University Park Mall in Mishawaka.

Friends may call at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, and one hour prior to services which will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Rev. Elden Miller of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka will officiate at both services. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
