Larry F. Parnell, 60, of North State Street in Mishawaka, Ind., died unexpectedly at 3:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in Memorial Hospital.

Larry was born on Feb. 24, 1942, in Humboldt, Tenn., to John F. and Virginia Parnell. He was preceded in death by his father, and by a sister, Barbara Parnell Hazlewood.

Larry is survived by his mother, Virginia Parnell Craig of Mishawaka; his daughter, Heather Parnell of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Deborah Ellen Parnell of South Bend and Jonnie Ruth Teboe of Elkhart, Ind.

Larry was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Bremen, Ind., and had attended Albright United Methodist Church. He served his country in the Marine Corps. He was the owner of a brokerage firm and was very well-known in the community through his business dealings.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 12, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held in Albright United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Military graveside services will be conducted by VFW Post #360, American Legion Post #161, with flag presentation by the Marine Reserve of South Bend.

In Larry's memory, contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Research to honor dear friends stricken by the disease.
