John G. Parr

John Gilbert Parr, 57, residing on Elizabeth Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died on May 28, 2002, in his home. He was currently working at the Juvenile Justice Center in security.
John was born on March 9, 1945, in Mishawaka, to the late Raymond Frank and Christine Margaret (Klaer) Parr, and had resided in this area since 1992, coming from California.
John is survived by his five sisters, Sally Smith of West Jordan, Utah, Kate Holmes of Redwood City, Calif., Carol Glastra of South Bend, Ind., Judy Crowe of Mishawaka and Christine Cripe of Osceola, Ind.
John served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion.
Graveside services were conducted on Thursday, June 6, at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
The Palmer Funeral Homes - River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, was in charge of arrangements.
