SOUTH BEND – Stanley W. Paskiet, 61, of 1305 W. Grace Street, was dead on arrival at 5:35 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of six months. He retired on May 1, 1971 from the Bendix Corporation, where he had been employed for 30 years. He was born on April 18, 1911 in South Bend and had lived here all his life.

 

On Sept. 9, 1933, he married Esther Aftowski, who survives, along with a son, Stanley J. and a daughter, Rose Marie Rozmarynowski, both of South Bend; four grandchildren; four brothers. William of LaPorte, Walter of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., John of Buchanan, Mich., and Joseph J. of South Bend, and five sisters, Mrs. Anna Houck of Waneheart, Pa., Mrs. Valarie Poznanski of Iowa, Mrs. Mary Pomykala, Mrs. Martha Durski, and Mrs. Eleanor Rupert, all of South Bend.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Polish National Church with Rev. Joseph Zawistowski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
