Casimir J. Paszek

Aug. 30, 1917 - Nov. 6, 1998

SOUTH BEND - Casimir J. Paszek, 81, of St. Paul's Health Care Center, formerly of Ribourde Drive in South Bend, Ind., died at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, in the health care center.

Mr. Paszek retired in 1980 from the Bendix Corporation after 30 years of employment.

He was born to George and Lottie (Prybysz) Paszek on Aug. 30, 1917, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.

On Sept. 8, 1945, he married the former Martha Marshall in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee. She preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 1998.

He is survived by a sister, Leona Pacala of South Bend; a brother, Fred G. Paszek of South Bend; and by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Paszek was an Army veteran of World War II; a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Parish; the Holy Hour of Corpus Christi and was a Eucharistic Minister of Corpus Christi; a 42-year past member of Holy Cross Parish; he belonged to the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council #553; the Knights of Columbus Father A. J. Nieuwland General Assembly fourth degree, where he served as an honor guard; a member of Associates of St. Joseph, where he was a past president for twelve years; the St. Vincent dePaul Society; the Legion of Mary Auxiliary; the Serra Club; and Renewal, Inc.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Reverend Walter Bly officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Polish Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a combined Rosary with the Knights of Columbus, Associates of St. Joseph, and Corpus Christi Parish will be prayed at 4 p.m.
