SOUTH BEND - Services for Laura E.
Patterson, 100, of Regency Place, who died at 11:55 p.m.
Tuesday in the nursing home, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in
Community Congregational Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn
Cemetery, Detroit. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.
Mrs. Patterson was born July 17, 1894, in
Warren, Mich., and had lived in South Bend since 1983, coming
from Michigan. On Sept. 9, 1915, in Detroit, as Laura E. Joiner,
she married Prentis B. Patterson. He died Aug. 12, 1961. She is
survived by a daughter, Marjorie Hentz of South Bend; a
son, Robert A. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. A son,
Raymond A., died in 1919.
