The former Mary Pietrzak was born March 22, 1922, in Titusville, PA, and shortly thereafter moved with her family to the South Bend area where she remained a lifelong resident. She was always a loving grandmother to her twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving is a loving friend and sister-in-law, Louise Paulinski of Phoenix, AZ, and several special nieces and nephews.

Heartfelt gratitude is expressed to Dr. Karen Ng, for her compassionate care and support.

At her request, cremation has taken place and a chapel service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the charity of the donor's choice. St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is handling arrangements. It is Mary's sincere desire to be remembered with laughter not tears.
