Mrs. Gustave Pauwels

October 30, 1884 - March 2, 1951

 

Mrs. Gustave Pauwels, 206 Cherry Street, died at 1am today in St Joseph Hospital.  She was born in Westdorpe Holland October 30, 1884, and came here 43 years ago.

 

In 1907 in South Bend, she was married to Gustave Pauwels, who survives.  Other survivors are four sons, Raymond, Gerard, Edward & Andrew; a daughter, Mrs. William Farrington, all of South Bend; three brothers, Raymond Buysse, South Bend, Edmond Buysse, in Holland, and Alfred Buysse, Gobels MI; eight sisters, Mrs. Elodie Wulfaert, Mrs. Frederick Ranschaert, Mrs. Camiel Van Wynsberghe, Mrs. Emiel Lekens and Mrs. Walter Davidson, all of South Bend; Mrs. Clement VanHeesbeke, New Carlisle, this county; Mrs. Fred Rinard, St Petersburg FL and Mrs. Arthur VanHeck, Dowagiac MI, and 16 grandchildren.

 

Friends may call in the DeVos Chapel, Mishawaka, Friday until funeral services at 9am Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Very REv. Msgr. George Moorman, pastor, will officiate.  Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Sunday in the funeral chapel.
