Raymond A. Pauwels

May 10, 1911 – July 17, 1980

Raymond A. Pauwels, 69, of 56523 Crescent Drive, Osceola, died at 9am Thursday in St Joseph Hospital after a five year illness. 

He was born on May 10, 1911, in South Bend and lived in Osceola for 31 years coming from South Bend.  His wife, Helen E., died in 1973.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jacqueline) Grabarz, of Oconomowoc WI and Mrs. Bob (Kathleen) Clayton of Mishawaka; two sons, Richard A. Pauwels of Mishawaka, and Charles G. Pauwels of South Bend; 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William (Madeline) Farrington of South Bend; and three brothers, Edward and Gerard Pauwels, both of South Bend; and Andrew Pauwels of Livonia MI.

Friends may call form 7 to 9pm today in the Warner Funeral Home, where services will be at 10am Saturday, with Rev. Frank Stephens of the Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ, officiating.  Internment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Pauwels was retired from the AM General Corp., in 1975.  He was a member of the BK Club, Mishawaka.
