Lewis R. Pavey

July 29, 1909 – March 17, 1993

Lewis R. Pavey, 83, of 631 Linden Ave., died at 10:17am Wednesday in Michiana Community Hospital, South Bend, after an illness.  Mr. Pavey retired from Studebaker Corp as a welder and was a former custodian at Mishawaka High School.

He was born July 29, 1909, in Fountain County IN and lived in Mishawaka most of his life.  On March 3, 1931, in South Bend, he married Mary Lucille Johnson.  She died February 19, 1985.  He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Crocker of Granger; two sons, Richard of Edwardsburg and Glen of Colorado Springs CO; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Spenncer of Elkhart and Daniel of Cayuga IN.  He was a member or Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation, South Mishawaka.

Services will be at 1pm Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N Main St. Burial will be in Five Point (MI) Cemetery.  Friends may call form 4 to 8pm Friday in the funeral home.
