SOUTH BEND - Ernest L. Pearman, 66, of
Sidney Avenue, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical
Center. Mr. Pearman was the owner/operator of E & C Delivery
Service. He was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Hiwassee, Ark., and lived
in South Bend for 31 years.
On Oct. 19, 1948, in Pineville, Mo., he
married Melba Howe. She survives with two daughters, Joyce Muzzey
of Detroit and Teresa Nomos of South Bend; three sons, Thomas and
Rev. Randall, both of South Bend, and Charles of Terre Haute,
Ind.; 14 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; two
great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a brother,
Donald of Bayfield, Colo. He was an Air Force veteran of the
Korean War.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to
4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to Mayflower Baptist Church.
