Bertha H. Peczkowski

November 2, 1892 - September 29, 1979

 

Mrs. Bertha Peczkowski, 86, of 605 N. Johnson, died at 1:30am today in St Joseph's Hospital after a lengthy illness.

 

She was born on November 2, 1892, in South Bend, and lived here her lifetime.  On April 29, 1913, as Bertha Bukowski, she married John Peczkowski.  He died on August 6, 1955.

 

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mollie Sokol, Mrs. Leona Jordanek and Mrs. Dolores Pajakowski, all of South Bend; four sons, Edward, Daniel, Bernard and John, al of South Bend; 26 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Martha Klimek of South Bend and two brothers, Leo Bukowski of South bend and Joseph Bukowski of Aurora CO

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Sunday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today by the Apostleship of Prayer, of which she was a member.  Mrs. Peczkowski was also a member of the St Hedwig Society and of St Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Funeral Notes

Services for Mrs. Bertha H. Peczkowski, 86, of 605 N. Johnson, will be at 9am Monday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen J. Sedlok, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Mrs. Peczkowski died at 1:30am Saturday in St Joseph's Hospital.  Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery. 

 

Friends may call from 2 to 9pm today in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.
