Martin R.  (Pete) Pedersen

May 24, 1926January 27, 1983

 

Martin R. (Pete) Pedersen, 56, of 137 E. Pendle St., Roseland, died at 9:4am today in Memorial Hospital after being ill for several months.  He was employed as Pete the Plumber.

 

He was born on May 24, 1926, in Clifton KS, and lived in South Bend for 25 years, coming from Kansas.  On February 22, 1969, in South Bend, he married Evelyn Ringh, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sherri Montgomery and Mrs. Shirley Lisler, both of Clifton; a son, Dennis Pedersen of Clifton; a stepson, James Kabzinski of New Carlisle; 10 grandchildren; a great grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen West of Clifton and Mrs. Wilma Snell of Fayberry NB.

 

Services will be at 3pm Sunday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 US 33 N., where friends may call after 1pm Sunday.  Rev. Harry D. Collier, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, will officiate.  Cremation will take place.  He was a member of American Legion Post 116 of Niles, the Fathers’ Auxiliary Post 64 of VFW of Niles and the Clay Democratic Club.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St Joseph County Cancer Society.
