 Miss Charlotte Brown Peffley, 81 of 1222 Lincoln Way E., died at 3:30 a.m. today in the home of her niece, Mrs. Bertram Leer, with whom she lived, after a three years’ illness. She was born in South Bend Sept. 24, 1877, and had been employed as a nurse at Wilson Bros. for over 30 years. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clara Birner of South Bend, another niece and a nephew.
 Friends may call after noon Sunday in the Orvis Funeral Home where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. John D. Wolf, pastor of St. Paul’s Memorial Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in City Cemetery.
 Miss Peffley was a member of the church and has taught Sunday school there for 40 years. She was a member of the Woman’s Relief Corps of the Civil War.

 Peffley-Pallbearers for the services at 2 p.m. Monday at Orvis Funeral Home for Miss Charlotte Brown Peffley, 1222 Lincoln Way E., will be Louis Chreist, Harvey Klockow, William B. Murray, Hsrry P. Hamilton, Charles L. Shedrick and H.W. Carlton. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
