Edward C. Peltz, 60, of 913 N. Merrifield St., died in St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, at 10:15 a.m. today.  Thallemer-Goethals is in charge

PELTZ - Friends of Edward C. Peltz, 50, of 913 N. Merrifield Ave., who died at 10:50 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 pm.  And 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. John Dicken, pastor of East United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.  Mr. Peltz was born March 18, 1919 in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the area.  On Aug. 25, 1962 in South Bend, he married Ruth Anderson, who survives, along with three sons, Charles and Ronald of Osceola, and David of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Kyle, South Bend, and seven grand-children.  Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Julia Shoemaker, South Bend; two brothers, Richard Peltz and Theodore Peltz of Culver; four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Kovachevich, South Bend, Mrs. Betty Smiley, Tippecanoe; Mrs. Hazel Utter, Plymouth, and Mrs. Shirley Baker, Ottawa, Ill.  Mr. Peltz was employed at the Dayco Sheet Metal Co. in Niles
