Oscar C. Peltz, aged 50, a farmer, rural route No. 2, Bourbon, Ind., died at 11 a.m. Monday in his home after an illness since Jan. 3.  Born in Canada March 16, 1892, he moved to the vicinity of Bourbon 15 years ago from South Bend.  His marriage to Julia Torok took place in South Bend May18, 1916.  Surviving are his widow; eight children, Mrs. Julius Smiley, Theodore, Richard, Gertrude and Shirley, at home; Evelyn, South Bend; Mrs. George Utter, Burr Oak, Ind., and Edward, Niles, Mich., and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. N. T. Swanson, Mrs. J. A. Horning, I. T. Peltz and William H. Peltz, South Bend; Mrs. Theodore Schubert, La Crescenta, Calif., and Gordon Peltz, Roanoka, Va.  Friends may call at the residence until Wednesday noon when the body will be taken to the White church in Tippecanoe, Ind., to lie until funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. FredChampion, pastor of the Methodist church, of which Mr. Peltz was a member, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
