Helen L. Peters, 84, of Borley Avenue, Mishawaka, passed away on Thursday, November 8, in the Hospice House of South Bend. Helen was born on June 14, 1917, in Mishawaka to Mr. Raymond and Bonnie (Young) Foust. Helen served in the coast Guard, being discharged from service on April 18, 1946.

On September 11, 1971, in Mishawaka, Helen L. Foust married, Robert P. Peters. Helen was a member of the American Legion Post #50, in South Bend, and a member of the First Christian Church, in Mishawaka. Helen is survived by her husband, Robert; three step-grandchildren, Pam Behrhorst of California, Mike Peters of Mishawaka and Eric Peters of California. Helen is also survived by a brother, Charles Foust of South Bend; a nephew, Dennis (Betty) Foust of Lakeville, Indiana; a step-daughter-in-law, Linda Peters of South Bend; a great niece, Deborah (Greg) Kopetski of Lakeville, Indiana, and a great nephew, Dennis (Kathy) Foust of Plymouth, Indiana.

No service is being held, cremation is to take place. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Mishawaka or to Hospice of St. Joseph County. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling the Arrangements.
