Mildred Pettis

Jan. 19, 1912 - Nov. 21, 1999

Mrs. Mildred Pettis, 87, dear wife, who resided on Generation Drive, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 9:00 P.M., Sunday, November 21, 1999, at Iron-wood Health & Rehabilitation Center, following an illness.

On January 19, 1912, in Eudora, Ar-kansas, she was born to the union of Tom and Reabie (Mondaine) Williams. She and Clifford Pettis were united in wedlock on April 22, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. Coming from Three Rivers, Michigan, they moved to South Bend in 1984. After twenty years of employment, she retired from the Walgreen Drug Stores in 1978. She also was a former member of Christian Center.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Clifford; a godson, Henry (Rosa) Fincher of West Virginia; a sister-in-law, Ozell Smith of Chicago, Illinois; and a special friend, Joann Garcia of South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. today at Alford's Mortuary. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
