Quinter Brant Pfeiffer

NEW CARLISLE - Quinter Brant Pfeiffer, 70, died at home/shop, Artisan Woodwork-ing. Q. Brant was born in LaPorte to Darle and Lois (Bjorklund) Pfeiffer of New Carlisle, Ind. He is survived by daughter Michele Sheehan of Hilo, HI; her husband, Michael, and children, Daniel and Monica; son, Shane Pfeiffer of Denver, Colo., his wife, Sophie, and children, Heather, Hillory and Adam; daughter, Heidi Moritz of Gresham, Ore. and her husband, Rod; and Carole Sue Miller of Tucson, Ariz., mother of his children and wife of 18 years.

 

Brant was a carpenter, a member of Carpenter Local 413 in South Bend, Ind., was employed by Verkler Construction for 55 years, and was owner/operator of Artisan Woodworking. He served in the U.S. Navy in Guam during World War II, and was a member American Legion Post 297 of New Carlisle. He attained a Bachelor of History and Psychology degrees from Indiana University, South Bend, and was working toward his Master's.

 

A gathering celebrating the life of Q. Brant Pfeiffer will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. (EST) Friday, Dec. 6, at the Studebaker shelter in Bendix Woods, Nature Center park entrance off of Indiana SR 2.

Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, Ind., is in charge of the arrangements.
