GRANGER - Cheryl L. Piechowiak, 48, of Kerlin Drive, died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Medical Center of an illness. Mrs. Piechowiak was a recruiting coordinator for 19 years with Crowe-Chizek. She was born May 19, 1946, in St. Louis, living here since 1951. On Aug. 20, 1966, in South Bend, she married Frank A. Piechowiak Jr. He survives with a son, Mark A. of Granger; her parents, James E. and Frances Gilroy of South Bend; and five sisters, Nancy Sue Wiskotoni of South Bend, Mary Lee Parrish and Kathleen Marie Farrar, both of Mishawaka, Patricia Ann Reed of Granger and Linda Jean Gilroy of Stratham, N.H. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and Women's Society of the church. She was a St. Joseph High School graduate.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Heart Association and Peg Donovan Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 6101, South Bend, IN 46660.
