Brother Albert Pinter CSC

Brother Albert Pinter CSC, 62, died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Dujarie House, University of Notre Dame, after a short cancer illness. He taught at various Holy Cross Order high schools, including Cathedral in Indianapolis and Boysville in Clinton, Mish. He taught at Benton Harbor, Mich. High School and Marquette High School in Michigan City and he also taught mathematics from 1966 to 1969 at St. Joseph High School in South Bend.

 

He was born Nov. 16, 1919 in Aurora, Ohio, and made his final vows with the Congregation of the Holy Cross on Aug. 16, 1945. He is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Pinter, and a stepbrother, John Pinter, both of Cleveland, Ohio.

Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Brothers Center Chapel at Notre Dame. Rev. William Simmons CSC will deliver the homily. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery on the campus of Holy Cross Junior College. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today and until 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at the Brothers Center, where a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. today.
