Gary Lee Pittman

Jan. 3, 1945 - June 18, 1998

Gary Lee Pittman, 53, residing at 2750 Pine Road, Plymouth, Ind., passed away in the emergency room of St. Joseph Hospital of Marshall County at 5:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Pittman was born on Jan. 3, 1945, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Lloyd and Elsie (Merrill) Pittman, and had lived in the LaPaz and Plymouth area all of his life. Gary was an auto mechanic.

On Dec. 23, 1964, in Lakeville, Ind., he married Judy K. Hygema, who survives.

He is also survived by two daughters and their husbands, Kim and Jeff Johnson, and Tania and Mike Woodrum, all of Plymouth; a son, Tony Whitmer of Florida; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; a sister, Verna Biller of Cary, N.C.; two brothers, Wayne Myers of LaPaz and Lyle Pittman of South Bend; and by a stepbrother, Larry Myers of Lakeville.

Services for Gary Lee Pittman will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 South Michigan Street, Lakeville. Rev. David Cross of the Lakeville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
