SOUTH BEND - Sandra A. (Taelman) Plank, 67, of South Bend, passed away at 7:27 a.m. Sunday March 2 in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Plank was born on November 91, 1940, in South Bend and resided in the Michiana area her lifetime. Prior to becoming ill, she was employed by Ayr-Mark Corporation in South Bend.

Sandra is survived by a sister, Sylvia S. Taelman of Auburn, IN; a brother, Ted E. (Roseann) Taelman of South Bend. She is also survived by stepsisters, Shirley A. (Larry) Corpe of Buchanan, MI and Pauline (George) DeMeyer of New Carlisle; also by stepbrothers, Cecil (Nancy) Klopfenstein of North Liberty, Dean (Thelma) Klopfenstein of Walkerton, Wilbur (Alene) Klopfenstein of North Liberty and Glen (Pat)_ Klopfenstein of South Bend; and a sister-in-law, Donna Taelman of Edwardsburg, MI. Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph R. "Bud" Taelman in November 1997; his parents, Rene A. and Genevieve C. (Chrobot) Taelman and a stepsister, June Grazier. Sandra requested she be cremated which her family honored. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, coworkers and all who had the opportunity to know her.

The family request no flowers, cremation has taken place and a memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8 in Northwest United Methodist church, 21855 Brick Road, South Bend, IN 46628. All memorial contributions are to be made to the church or to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, INC., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend handled the arrangements and extend its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Plank and Taelman family.
