Edward M. Platts: (South Bend Tribune 10/10/1987)


Edward M. Platts, 64, of Sebring, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Thursday at Palm Health Care Center in Sebring. Mr. Platts was a saleman for Bendix Allied Corp. here for 36 years, retiring in 1981. He was a resident of Sebring for six years. He is survived by his wife, Myrene; a daughter, Shelley Grubbs, of Three Rivers; a son David of Danville, Ind.; a sister, Doris Hullinger of South Bend; and six grandchildren. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, is handling arrangements. A memorial service will be Monday in Sebring. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum, Portage extension. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
