SOUTH BEND - Paul L. Pocza, 83, of
South Chapin Street, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday in Memorial
Hospital after an illness. Mr. Pocza retired in 1970 from AM
General Corp. after 10 years of service and was employed by
Studebaker Corp. for 23 years. He was born March 8, 1912, in
Detroit and lived in South Bend since 1919.
On Sept. 14, 1948, in South Bend, he married
Elizabeth Varga. She survives with two nieces. He was a
member of Eagles Lodge 435 and William Penn Association. Services
will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic
Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park,
Granger. Friends may call one hour before services in Zahoran
Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
