Charles Poor

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Charles Poor, 82, of South Bend, passed away Sunday at 4:01 a.m. in Hospice House. Charles was born on July 25, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Charles Poor Sr. and the late Blanche (Gaby) Poor. Mr. Poor graduated from Lakeville High School. He was an owner/operator, professional truck driver. A U.S. Army infantry veteran, Charles served in Germany during WW II and also served in Korea during the Korean War. He was a Life Member of the American Legion.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lelia M. (Morris) Poor of South Bend; a son, Floyd J. (Cheryl) Poor of South Bend; a sister, Patricia Poor of Fayetteville, PA; and a granddaughter, Marci (Mike) Gentry of Kewanna, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Shyanne and William.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
