SOUTH BEND - Anthony R. "Tony" Poropat, 90, of Indianapolis formerly of South Bend passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was married to his beloved wife Sherron for 54 years until her passing in 1999. They met during his military service at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Tony was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church, and South Bend Lions Club where he had been past President. Tony retired in 1976 as Vice-President & Treasure with First Bank & Trust, Co. of South Bend. He is survived by his children, Julia E. (Tony) Miller, and Richard (Kay) Poropat, grandchildren Allison & Nathan Miller, Matt & Tim Poropat. He is also survived by his sister Pat (Morgan) Ketcham of South Bend. Private services to be held.
