Sister M. Aglae CSC, 84, of St. Mary’s Convent died early this morning in the convent after a short illness. Born June 16, 1891 in Pinne, Possen, Germany, as Wlasdislawa Pospieszna, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on April 24, 1913, coming from Germany. She was received as a novice Dec. 10, 1913, and made her final profession of vows Dec. 19, 1915. Assigned to health services throughout her community life, she served in nursing departments of nursing, nursinf education and pastoral services in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend; University of Notre Dame student infirmary; and in St. John’s Hospital,  in Anderson. She also served in hospitals in Illinois, Idaho and Ohio.

 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call until services in St. Mary’s Convent parlor, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today.
