Frances E. Pozzi

Frances E. Pozzi, 95, of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday evening, June 7, 2005, in Regency Place of South Bend.

 

Frances was born May 13, 1910 in Three Rivers, Michigan, a daughter of the late William and Cecilia (Behan) Kearney.

 

She grew up in Mishawaka and on October 24, 1931, Frances married John P. Pozzi. The couple made their home in Mishawaka.

 

Frances was employed for over 30 years at Ball Band (Uniroyal). She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Frances enjoyed playing cards; particularly poker. She was a good homemaker who liked cooking and spaghetti was a specialty. Frances also enjoyed baking and keeping her home neat and clean.

 

Frances' surviving family includes her three sons, Robert (Jeanette) Pozzi of South Bend, Richard Pozzi of Mishawaka and Ronald (Sandee) Pozzi of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Margaret (Milo) Mishler of South Bend and Rosemary (William) Mishler of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; two sisters, Marion and Katherine; and a brother, Leo.

 

Friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka, with Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating.

 

Private burial will take place in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

 

There is no public visitation.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to St. Monica Church.

 

Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third Street, Mishawaka is serving the family.
