Sister M. Francis de Sales CSC, 82, died at 11 p.m. Sunday in St, Mary’s Convent, where she had lived since November. She had moved from Hammond Ind. after becoming ill. Born March 15, 1901 in Chicago as Margaret Mary Prindivelle, she came to South Bend on Jan. 6, 1921 to enter the order. She was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1921. She made her final profession of vows two years later. Sister Mary Francis taught in elementary schools in Anderson, Union City, Crawfordsville, Michigan City and Hammond and became a principal and Administrator of Convents at some of those locations, She also served outside Indiana in Lancaster, Pa., Boise, Idaho, and Washington, DC Her most recent duties were in Hammond. She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Sister Judith Anna Prindiville, CSC, of Chicago.

 

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Loretto Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the St. Mary’s campus. Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday in the St. Mary’s Convent Parlors, where a wake service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
