SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE – December 18, 2001

Lucille A. Przybylski

Sept. 3, 1926 - Dec. 16, 2001

Lucille A. Przybylski, 75, of South Bend, died at 12:00 a.m. Sunday, December 16, in her home after an extended illness. She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in South Bend, to John Lisenko and Lillian (Waskowski) Lisenko.

She was employed as a waitress at the Morris Park Country Club, Country Squire Restaurant, and later the Loft Restaurant where she retired in 1982. She was well-known to co-workers and employers as hard working and diligent.

As Lucille Lisenko she married John Przybylski on Aug. 30, 1947, in St. Patrick's Church in South Bend. John survives along with daughter, Darlene Borlik, and her husband, Thomas of Granger; a granddaughter, Emily Borlik of Chicago; and a grandson, Jeffrey Borlik of Los Angeles.

She is also survived by her sister, Dolores (Don) Renner of Mishawaka and Robert (Georgianne) Lisenko of South Bend. She was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Kremer, Evelyn Przybylski; and brothers, William, Alexander, Raymond, John, Daniel and Eugene Lisenko.

Lucille was known for her artistic touches in the home, her cleanliness, dedication to the family, her shopping abilities, and her fine sense of humor. She would remind her grandchildren about not straying from the path and then laugh about the advice. Those are just a few of the things we will remember forever. Her passing at this time of year is even more difficult because this was Mom's favorite season. She would spend hours putting up the tree, decorating, shopping, baking and wrapping the gifts for the family.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakeville. She was also a member of Post 357 American Legion Auxiliary.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Funeral Home South, 1827 E. Ireland Road. A Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
