Victoria P. Przybysz

Victoria P. Przybysz, 93, formerly of West Fisher Street in South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in the Saint Joseph Care Center/West, South Bend.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1907, to the late Joseph and Apolonia (Chmiel) Grontkowski in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Sophie Grontkowski, Theresa Smanda, Bertha Zyto and Mary Kubiak; and by five brothers, Stephen, Michael, Theodore, Walter and Edwin Grontkowski.

Ms. Przybysz retired in 1974 from the former Service Printers in South Bend after 30 years of service.

She is survived by a daughter, Rita (Florian) Moskwinski of South Bend; a son, Raymond (Eileen) Przybysz of Vandalia, Mich.; five grandchildren, Susan (Duane) Wachowiak of South Bend, Christine (Fred) Cencelewski of South Bend, Michael (Diane) Moskwinski of South Bend, Lisa (Scott) Probst of Niles, Mich., and Kurt Przybysz of South Bend; and by seven-great-grandchildren, Angela Wachowiak, Britany and Sara Cencelewski, Jenna and Trent Moskwinski, Ryan and Matthew Probst.

Ms. Przybysz was a member of St. Casimir parish, where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society, St. Ann's Society and Senior Citizens Group. She was also a member of the Graphic Communications International Union #514 and the Polish Roman Catholic Union #344.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Polish Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a combined Senior Citizens and parish Rosary will be prayed at 2:45 p.m.
