Rajnish Kumar Puri

MISHAWAKA - Rajnish "Raj" Kumar Puri, 66, of
Mishawaka, passed away in his residence Wednesday night August
13th. "Raj" was born in Delhi, India on December 20,
1941 to the late Hemraj and Kamla (Mahindra) Puri. He
served in the India Armed Forces as an officer for many years
before moving to the United States. He married Lekha Nelson
in New Delhi, India on May 8, 1968. She preceded him in death on
April 16, 1998. Over the last twenty years he has worked at
Macy's Department. Rajnish is survived by his two daughters; Mona
(William) Graham, of Osceola, and Tina (James) Aitken,
of Granger, along with four grandchildren; Malika, Grant, Maiya,
and Quinn. He is also survived by his special friend, Benita Fleck,
two brothers; Pravin and Ajit Puri, and one sister; Rashmi Kashyap,
all of India.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 18, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., from 5 until 6 pm. A memorial service celebrating "Raj's" life will be held at 6 pm, Monday, with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Cremation is to take place, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, next to his wife, at a later date.
