Charles A. Quick

Charles A. Quick, 76, of South 35th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an illness on Thursday, April 27 at 5:10 p.m. in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend.

Mr. Quick was born on Jan. 24, 1924 in South Bend as the son of the late Delbert and Sylvia (Holderman) Quick. He was also preceded in death by one son, Boyd P. Quick on Oct. 18, 1992; and by two brothers, George O. Quick and Raymond A. Quick.

 

On April 1, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he married the former Carolyn J. Fisher, who preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 1995. Mr. Quick is survived by a daughter, Emma Louise Quick of South Bend; a son, Bruce G. (Kathleen) Quick, also of South Bend; two grandchildren; two stepbrothers, Robert M. Sherman and Raymond D. Sherman, both of South Bend; a stepsister, Sharon L. Dill of South Bend; and by a half-sister, Beverly J. Quick of Mishawaka, Ind.

 

Mr. Quick retired from Allied Screw Products. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran and a member of Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, South Bend.

 

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, in the Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, South Bend, with Rev. Jack Volkers officiating. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W.
