Mrs. Mary Jacobs Quick

1870 - 1946

Mrs. Mary Jacobs Quick, aged 67, of rural route No. 5, Bailey Road, died in Memorial Hospital at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday after three years illness. She was born in Adamsville, Ohio, May 12, 1879, and lived  all her life here. She was married in 1905 to Samuel A. Quick, who survives. She leaves also a son, William Francis of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Plummer, Mrs. John Ley and Mrs. Clayton Hale, all of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Francis, Benton Harbor, Mich.; and Mrs. Ralph Hartley, Mrs. James Leeds and Mrs. Ralph Bingham; of Michigan City, Ind.; four brothers, Frank Jacobs, Mishawaka; Walter Jacobs, South Bend and William and George Jacobs, Benton Harbor; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends will be recieved in the Hollis Funeral Home Friday and until the funeral there at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. John Haley C.S.C. assisant pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, will read the rites with burial in City Cemetery.
