Ralph Witter Quimby

Ralph W. Quimby, 705 N. Zeddy Street died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday in his home after an illness of six hours. He was born in St. Joseph County, Sept. 11, 1887 and spent his lifetime here. He was employed by the Bendix Products Division of the Bendix Aviation Corp.

 

On Oct. 29, 1910 in Winamac, Ind. he was married to Mary E. Hoover, who survives. Also surviving are 10 children, Lester E., John D., Robert J., Ralph Jr., Mrs. Lillian Lundberg, Mrs. Charles Whiting, Mrs. Harold Rusell, Mrs. Ray Heeter and Miss Patsi, all of South Bend, and Charles J. of Mishawaka; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Buchmowyer of Harrisburg, Pa.; and 17 grandchildren.

 

Friends may call in the Orvis Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until funeral services there at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Edward Lantz, pastor of Lowell Heights Methodist Church will officiate. Internment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
