SOUTH BEND - Clarice Burdick Rans,
88, of East Colfax Avenue, died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday in
Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rans was born April 17, 1906, in New
Paris, and lived in South Bend since 1919, coming from New Paris.
On July 20, 1925, in South Bend, as Clarice Rapp,
she married George F. Burdick. He died April 10, 1967. On Feb.
24, 1983, in South Bend, she married Robert H. Rans. He
died Aug. 14, 1990. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley J. Hamilton
of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Carol Marsh of
Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First Christian Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in
Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.
Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
the church memorial fund or any charity.
