Joseph L. Ready

June 17, 1969 - May 9, 2010
SOUTH BEND - Joseph Leonard Ready, 40, passed away Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. as a result of injuries suffered on May 9, in a "hit and run" car/motorcycle accident on Mishawaka Ave. in front of Murphy's Bar. Joe was born in South Bend on June 17, 1969 to Thomas James (Abigail) Ready, Sr. and Sheila Kay (Geans) Ready, they both survive of Mishawaka. Also surviving Joe are his two brothers: Thomas J. (Kristen) Ready of Topeka, KS, and James E. (Wendy) Ready, Sr. of Osceola; two step-sisters: Heather (John) Baugher of Mishawaka, Shantel Jobes of Mississippi; a step-brother Tom Strantz of Mishawaka. Other survivors include: five nephews: Jacob (Lori) Crawford and their daughter Leah Marie and Jordan T., Dylan D. and Chase H. Ready all of Kansas; James E. Ready, Jr. and a niece Sarah E. Ready both of Osceola. Joe was a US Army Reserves Veteran, a member of the Cement & Plaster's Union and he was a "Free Spirit". A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held on Saturday, June 19th, at 2:00 pm, at Dave's Pub on Mishawaka Ave., between 30th & 31st Streets, South Bend.
